The company was established in 2021 by Maureen Carey who has 28 years’ experience in environmental health covering all aspects, with half of those years in the private housing sector. Maureen is a registered Environmental Health Practitioner and member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). Maureen has been lead officer for health and safety, and private housing teams in a local authority setting.
Maureen is an extremely knowledgeable, professional, and experienced officer able to provide holistic resolutions to private sector housing issues with experience in local authority working alongside organisations such as the Fire Service, The Health and Safety Executive, Social Services and the police and is able to use this wealth of knowledge in advising private clients.
Fully conversant with the Housing Act 2004 and an expert in the use of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS), evaluating category 1 and category 2 hazards.
Recent projects include the application of Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES), and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), to privately rented properties.
Maureen is also a registered student mentor volunteer for the CIEH.
